Due to the four locations and the increasing volume of incoming invoices, processing them became increasingly complex and time-consuming. Especially for accounts payable accounting, it was no longer possible to locate individual invoices that were either being processed or released. In order to not lose track here, lists were kept of where the individual incoming invoices are currently located. In such a scenario, meeting payment deadlines and discount deadlines was more than just an organisational challenge. Searching for incoming invoices in the paper archive was also very time-consuming.
